Ceramic & porcelain features pack a punch

Some of the most beautiful appearances you’ll find in tile come from the natural stone looks that are available in ceramic & porcelain tile. These can include tiles that take on the appearance of travertine, slate, and marble, just to name a few. The wide diversity in the veining, color varieties, and textures of these tiles mean designing possibilities are nearly endless. These stunning pieces offer a true and classic elegance that matches a wide variety of decor. You can also choose from various wood looks as well as a more modern trend that mimics concrete, all of which can match nearly any interior design scheme.

Ceramic & porcelain tile formats also vary. Standard sizes can include 1x3-inch, 2x3-inch, 3-inch, 4-inch, 5-inch, 6-inch, and 8-inch, but unique and personalized shapes and sizes are also abundantly available. Larger sizes that are currently trending include 12x18, 18x18, and even 24x24. Not only do these various formats look great in your home, but they can also save on grout. Larger sizes have grout lines less frequently but are really only feasible in larger rooms where they aren’t overwhelming.

If you’ve not already done so, be sure to consider “thin tiles” as well. You’ll find them incredibly trendy, easier to install over some existing flooring, and kinder to the environment. You still get the benefit of various appearances as well as a stunning look for your home.

There are some primary differences between ceramic & porcelain tile. For instance, porcelain will never freeze and the color goes all the way through the tile. With ceramic, the color sits only on the top. It’s easy to design along some of the newest and hottest fashion trends with the variety of color you’ll find here, especially if you’re looking for something personalized and unique
